Mark Hutchinson will suggest ways in which teachers, parents, and other interested parties can contribute to a curriculum that meets the needs of students, with a particular emphasis on the Key Stages 3 and 4. However, some reflection on what is taught at Primary school level and in post-16 education will also be considered.

Mark Hutchinson is a teacher of History and Religious Education in a large Sheffield secondary school, with over 30 years’ teaching experience. His teaching has during his career covered all aspects of the history national curriculum. Outside of the classroom he ia a trustee of the social justice charity ‘Journey to Justice’ and also sits on the board of the charity ‘Sheffield Environmental Movement,’ from which he enjoys monthly walks into the local countryside.
