Winning alliances for antiracist education, held on Saturday 6 June at Weston Park Museum.
Sahail Chohan, from SHARE chaired the opening session of conference.
He welcomed our opening keynote speakers, Rafia Hussain, Rizwana Lala and Boucka Koffi. Sahail spoke about the the importance of the opening session in dealing with difficult questions with a sense of realism but also optimism.
He underscored how this yearās conference took place in a time of resurgent racism with deep global roots in white supremacism, Empire and enslavement. He emphasised that anti-racist education is central to the goal of achieving a world free from the poison of racism.
Finally, Sahail reminded people that the inspiration for our previous conferences has come from uniting international, national and local dialogues and experiences. The focus of our 2026 conference was to build powerful alliances for anti-racist education by sharing ideas to inform action and change.
