Sheffield Race Equality Commission – A Role for Education. Monday 12th October 7pm

Sheffield Anti-Racist Education SHARE has invited Cllr Abtisam Mohamed, Sheffield Council Cabinet Member for Education, to talk about the role our Education sector can play in delivering racial justice for a progressive City with a global perspective.

The dual pandemic of Racism and COVID-19 needs to be addressed with an urgency rarely exhibited on the global stage.

Cllr Abtisam Mohamed has been quick off the mark championing the setting up of the City’s Race Equality Commission.

It’s chaired by Professor Emeritus Kevin Hylton who has wasted no time appointing 13 commissioners, ready to take submissions with evidence being taken orally in due course.
